Chapter 7 Dterm IP
Dterm IP Setup
Data setting on the Dterm IP is required in addition to the system data programming
when you start-up a Dterm IP first. Do the following setup after accommodation of
Dterm IP to the LAN and the system data programming.
When the data server (such as System-based DRS, Network-based DRS on the LAN,
DHCP Server and FTP/TFTP Server) is used, the Dterm IP must be connected to the
LAN that accommodates the servers. Connect the Dterm IP to the LAN before you
follow the procedure below.
WARNING
:
Do not allow unauthorized users who have not had approved
NEC training to set User Menu items and Administrator
Menu items. Dterm IP may not work if information on these
menus has been changed without the network administrator’s
knowledge.
Note:
When you change only the setting on User Menu items after the Dterm IP
setup has been completed, do the following STEP 2 through STEP 7, then
press the Save key (Softkey).
When you change only the setting on Administrator Menu items after the Dterm IP
setup has been completed, do the following STEP 2 and STEP 8 through STEP 11.
STEP 1: Connect the AC adapter of the Dterm IP.
You must wait until either Parameter Missing or DRS Connect Time Out is
indicated on the LCD.
STEP 2: Hold, Transfer, *, # keys in that order.
The User Menu appears on the LCD. At this time, you can use Up and Down
softkeys to scroll the menu indication.
STEP 3: Press Hold, #, 0 keys in that order.
The Administrator Menu appears on the LCD.
STEP 4: Press 8 key.
The message of Factory Value Set? appears on the LCD.
STEP 5: Press OK key (Softkey).
The Administrator Menu appears on the LCD.
