Procedure In order to set up a basic IPSec configuration, the following main steps have to be
executed.
1 Prepare the Peer attributes:
Define a valid Authentication Attribute
Define a valid Peer Security Descriptor
2 Create a new Peer entity
3 Modify the Peer parameters
4 Prepare a valid Connection Security Descriptor.
5 Prepare a valid Network Descriptor.
6 Create a new Connection.
7 Set the parameters of the new Connection.

Refer to the relevant Connection Security Descriptor
Modify the Connection parameters
8 Start the Connection.
Each of these steps is explained in more detail in the subsequent sections. The
order of these sections corresponds to the sequence of the configuration steps.
