You can edit an RS-232 command
after it has been dragged into the
M
ACRO Window by double-clicking or
right-clicking the command string. The
E
DIT
RS-232 C
OMMAND
window will
open. This allows changes to be made
to the individual RS-232 commands
without having to delete them and
replace them with new commands.
Figure 62 shows the E
DIT
RS-232
C OMMAND window open, containing a
replacement macro command string.
Clicking the E
DIT RS-232 C OMMAND
window’s OK button will replace the RS-
232 command string in the M
ACRO E DITOR
window with this new command string.
S t o p M a c r o
The S TOP M ACRO command ( Figure 63) causes the macro to stop executing at the point where it is inserted. Under normal
circumstances the S TOP M ACRO command will not be needed, since macros automatically stop when they are finished. It is
intended to be used along with the S TATUS T EST command (see page 42) to end a macro if a certain condition is met.

The R EPEAT S TEPS
command ( Figure
61) lets you
repeat a particu-
lar macro com-
mand either until
the button is
released or for a
specific number
of times. This can
be useful when
controlling com-
ponents that
require certain
commands be
repeated to take
effect, or when issuing commands for buttons like volume controls, that can have continuous action.
