149 Phone Setup
Press and hold the voice recognition (VR) key on the left side
of your phone until the Loading VR message displays on the
screen to indicate that voice recognition is loading.
When your phone displays Load Successful, you can start using
voice commands. If your phone indicates that loading failed,
try again to load the voice recognition application.
Using Voice Recognition
After loading the voice recognition application on your phone,
press and hold the VR key on the left side of your phone until
the phone sounds an alert tone. Speak a voice command as
described below, then release the VR key to perform the
corresponding function.
The voice command function operates in 2 modes:
name/instruction mode, and digit mode. The default operating
mode is name/instruction. When you speak the command
“Open Digit Dial” or “Open Dial Pad,” your phone switches to
digit mode so you can speak the phone number you want to
dial.
Note: Your phone remains in digit mode for a few seconds
after each number recognition, and then automatically
returns to name/instruction mode.
