Appendix B - Searching for assets stored on the XMS
Detailed view mode
The search interface’s detailed view mode lists the assets in a table format in the Results
area (see figure
7-10
). Each row represents an asset that matched the search criteria and
displays the following information for each asset (if available):
•
Name
•
Type
•
Directory location
•
Author
•
Description
•
Recall ID
•
Date Modified
•
Date Created

To activate Detailed view mode:
•
Click the D
ETAIL
V
IEW
button
located above the Results table.
Selecting the table headings in the results area allows you to quickly sort the results table
based on that column’s results. Also, when you select the asset from the results table,
additional information about the asset is displayed in the message area above the Results
area.
Double-clicking on clips, cel animations, images and audio assets in the results area will
actually open the asset on an appropriate canvas.
Proxy view mode
The search interface’s proxy view mode allows you to quickly recognize the assets in the
Results area by displaying them as thumbnail images (see figure
7-10
).
To activate Proxy view mode:

button
located above the Results table.
When you select the asset from the results table, additional information about the asset is
displayed in the message area above the Results area.
Double-clicking on clips, cel
animations, images, and audio assets opens the preview window.
