CAUTION:

To avoid hardware damage, do not remove the CF card when the router is booting or the CF card LED
is blinking.

To protect the CF card, place it into an antistatic bag.

Replacing a transceiver module

NOTE:

When replacing a transceiver module, make sure that the two transceiver modules connected by the same
optical fiber have the same wavelength.

WARNING!

Do not stare into the optical fibers.

When removing a transceiver module, do not touch the golden finger of the transceiver module.

Follow these steps to replace a transceiver module:

Step1

Remove the optical fibers from the transceiver module.

Step2

Pivot the clasp downward to the horizontal position.

Step3

As shown in

Figure 38

, holding the handle of the transceiver module, gently pull the transceiver module

out.

Step4

Insert the plastic plug to the removed transceiver module, and put the module into its original shipping
materials.

Install a new transceiver module. For more information, see “
