Precautions
The performance of the signal lightning arrester may be affected in the following cases:
•
The IN and OUT ends of the signal lightning arrester are connected incorrectly.
The IN end should be connected to the external cable, and the OUT end to the Ethernet port of the
router.

The signal lightning arrester is not well grounded. Make sure that the grounding cable of the signal
lightning arrester should be as short as possible and be well connected to the grounding screw of
the router. Use a multimeter to check the connection between the signal lightening arrester and the
grounding screw.
The installed signal lightning arresters are not sufficient. When more than one outdoor Ethernet cable is
connected to the router, install a signal lightning arrester for each outdoor Ethernet cable.

NOTE:
No AC power cord is provided with the router. Prepare it yourself.
To connect an AC power cord, follow these steps:
Step1
Make sure the router is well grounded, and the power switch on the router is in the OFF position.
Step2
Connect one end of the AC power cord to the AC receptacle on the router, and the other end to the AC
power source.
Step3
Use a bail latch to secure the AC power cord.
