8-7 Updating BIOS Software
Occasionally, BIOS software updates are available to enhance the
operation of the controller. These updates are available through the
AEC Service Dept. or for download from the internet. To find out
what the current BIOS software version is, call the AEC Service
Department for details.
You can update the software with a laptop computer and an RS-
232 serial connection through the
COM1 serial port. As shown in
the electrical diagrams and the electrical diagram on the following
page, connect a serial cable as shown. Follow the installation
program instructions supplied with the software update. The
installation program automatically updates the VacTrac BIOS.
