QuickStart (StarFire™)
The QuickStart option in GPS Utilities establishes a
reference point for the Kalman Filter to align StarFire
corrections to allow instant
period to be waived and it enables RTK Extend when
RTK connections are lost.
1. Place the receiver on the reference point, properly
leveled and height adjusted.
2. Tap the QuickStart button (Figure 43). The
StarFire Quickstart window displays with these
options (see Figure 44):
• Present Position – use only after full
convergence, otherwise the error biases all
points collected.
• Read from GPS
• Enter Lat/Lon
• Use Saved Point
3. Tap the desired option to launch StarFire
QuickStart.
