Refer to Figure 28 for the settings below:

6. Set the power and channel (frequency) options for

the base radio modem as needed.

• The RF power output options are 10mW to

1W. The 1 watt setting provides the maximum
range and causes the maximum discharge on
the battery. Select a lower setting for surveys
over small areas.

Frequency, channel spacing, and
Network ID settings must match in both
the base and receiver.

The ID isolates the base and rover radio
modems. It avoids cross-talk between
the rover radio modem and any other
base radio modems in the area that may
be set to the same frequency.
