It is important that the receiver be in
RTK Fixed mode.
1. The Figure of Merit (FOM) should be 1, PDOP <4,
tracking at least 6 space vehicles (SV’s), the SD
H <0.01 m and SD V <0.02 m prior to storing
points. This will guarantee consistency when
storing points.
2. When work is done, stop GPS raw data logging
on the rover and disconnect from rover.
3. Open the Base profile/project and connect to the
receiver. Then stop the GPS raw data logging.
Disconnect from base and exit SurvCE.
To PP with a post-processing software
you need the .raw files from SurvCE for
the base and rover and the GPS raw
data files from both receivers.
Extract Data Files from SD Cards
1. Remove the SD cards from each receiver.
2. Load an SD card to a reader. Note that a datalog
folder and a chkdisk file appear.
3. Connect the data collector serially to a PC.
4. Open Carlson X-Port to transfer data from the
collector to a PC. Refer to Chapter 4 Data
Transfer, Exercise 2.
If this export utility is not available, use
MicroSoft ActiveSync>Explorer>My
Windows Mobiler>SurvCE Data to
access the data folder.
5. Copy any files associated with the base (e.g., .inf,
.crd, .rw5, etc.)
6. Copy the raw GPS files (.dat files).
