After considerable use, the stitch form
ing mechanism in bed of machine may
become clogged with lint and this may
interfere with the perfect operation of
the machine.
Occasionally remove the bobbin case
from machine, as instructed below, and
remove any lint, etc., which has accu
mulated in machine.

Draw bed slide plate to the left. Turn
hand wheel over toward you until
^ needle is at its highest point and end of
the hook ring E is toward the front of
the machine, as shown in Fig. 36.
Insert the blade of small tension screw
driver 120378, which is furnished with
the machine, into slot C between the
ring and the edge of the spring, as
shown in Fig. 36. With a downward
pressure, turn the screwdriver one-half
turn to the right so that the screwdriver
will drop into the slot and unlock the
spring. With the right hand, hold the
hand wheel to prevent its turning, and,
with the left, place the screwdriver
