12. NETwORK FUNCTION

12.1. Function Overview

The S-D7802 TRANTEC Digital wireless receiver can perform mainly status monitoring and controls of the

receiving system in real time with the dedicated system monitoring software installed into a PC by connecting

the receiver's LAN connector and the PC with an Ethernet cable.

The information displayed on the receiver's front panel is sent to the PC, further detailed information can be

monitored, and the level change of the received RF signal and received audio signal level can be checked by

the PC.

Placing the receiver in Remote mode allows various settings to be remotely performed from the PC. Frequency

usage conditions in adjacent area can be monitored in real time with the radio frequency spectrum display by

automatically sweeping within the receiving frequency band.

Employing the TOA Packet audio system based on the TCP/IP protocol, the S-D7802 can send the digital audio

signals to be internally reproduced to the PC as the packet audio signals in real time as well as the information

about level meter and settings. By selecting audio signals of the receiver to be monitored by the PC, audio

signals can be remotely monitored using the PC's sound reproduction function.

Multiple S-D7802 receivers can be connected to a single PC on a LAN using the commercially available network

HUB.

For the details, refer to the S-D7000 Series Monitoring Software instruction manual contained in the supplied

CD.
