Update System Firmware
Use this feature to update the firmware with the latest version.

Open a web browser and visit KGUARD Security web site (www.kguardsecurity.com).

Check for available updates and download the firmware update file named “dvrupgrade”.

Save the “dvrupgrade” file in a USB flash drive.

Insert the USB flash drive into a USB connector on the front panel or the rear panel of the DVR.

In preview mode, right-click on the mouse to display the Pop-up menu.

Select Main Menu > SYSTEM > MAINTAIN.

Click Update.

Follow the instructions on the screen to complete the update.
Warning:
Do not turn off the power or unplug from the power supply while updating.
Load Default Settings
Use this feature to restore the factory default settings of the DVR.

In preview mode, right-click on the mouse to display the Pop-up menu.

Select Main Menu > SYSTEM > MAINTAIN.

Click Load Default.

Check the check box of the settings that you want to restore.

• To restore all settings, click Select All.
• To deselect the checked boxes, click Select None.
• To cancel, click Cancel.

When you are done, click Apply.

A warning message appears, click OK to confirm.

When data saving is complete, click OK.
