Set up DNS
To set up DNS, do the following:
1. Set Location 0, Segment 2, Option 4, to use DNS services.
2. Set Location 49 to the IP of the primary DNS server.
3. Optionally, set Location 50 to the IP of the secondary DNS server.
4. You can now program names in the following locations:
• Locations 17 to 20, TCP/IP receiver one.
• Locations 21 to 24, TCP/IP receiver two.
• Locations 37 to 40, e-mail server.
• Locations 41 to 44, download computer.
• Locations 83 to 86, automation name (premise server).
View version of NX-590NE and PIC
The version of the NX-590NE is at Location 132. The version of the PIC is at
Location 133.
View DHCP assigned IP address
The DHCP assigned IP is at Location 131.
DL900 utility
The DL900 is a windows-based tool to view and edit all the locations in a control
panel or expander, such as the NX-590NE. Refer to the DL900 help files for
information.
