ADVANCED OPERATION
Two-Picture Screen
• This TV is capable of displaying two pictures simultaneously. This is called the Picture-
in-Picture (or Picture-out-Picture) function. A TV picture or a picture from external
source equipment such as a VCR can be displayed as a small picture. Be sure to
connect a VCR with the VIDEO/AUDIO cables. (See page 62.)
To display a small picture
To display a TV broadcast picture as a small picture

Turn on the TV and select the
desired program.
Press
PIP-POP once to display a
small picture.
Press
PIP CH A/hf to select the
desired program for the small
picture.
To make the small picture disappear,
press
PIP-POP again.

a picture from an external source as
a
small picture
Connect external source equipment for the small picture.

Turn on the TV and select the
desired program.

Press
PIP-POP to display a small
picture.
Press
SOURCE repeatedly to select
the input source (TV, VIDEO 1, VIDEO
2 or VIDEO 3) for the small picture.
The selected mode will be displayed
in magenta.
