Recording operation on cassette deck (Deck B only)
■ Operation of CD REC key
The CD REC key allows to listen to another music
source while recording a CD.
^ Press the CD REC key of the preampli-
* fier / tuner.

2 Start recording the CD.
Refer to "Synchro recording of CD" and "Recording of
CD playback (CCRS)".
3 Select the music source to be listened to.
INPUT
Press repeatedly.
Select a music source other than TAPE,
To cancel CD RED operation
Press the key again.

This key is not accepted while the record indicator is
lighted or blinking.
Notes:
1. When thelCD REDikey is set to ON, the CD sound cannot be
recorded with the equalizer effect,
2, After CD REC recording, be sure to press thelCD RE^ key to
turn CD REC OFF.
Recording modes
This system is equipped with the four recording
modes listed below. Select the mode which best
matches your recording purpose and sound prefer
ence.
(T) CD REC mode
Select using the CD REC key.
In this mode, sound is recorded directly from the CD for pure,
high-quality recordings. If desired, you can listen to another
music source while recording is being carried out.
(D PRESENCE REC mode
Set to the F. 4ch position.
This mode applies a presence effect to the sound during record
ing which is idea! for playback on a car stereo or headphone
stereo. (See page 30.)
(D EQ. REC mode
Set to DSP OFF or ACOUSTIC mode.
Use this mode to apply a desired equalizer effect to the sound
during recording. (See page 37.)
If none of the above recording modes is selected, the music
source is recorded normally without altering the sound.
To play a tape recorded with presence or equalizer effect,
cancel the effect.
