11. BROADCASTING
(only for FAX-500M)
A broadcast transmission is a transmission that you send to several
different destinations with a single operation. You simply set your
document
face
down
in
the
dorumeivt
feeder^
press
the
BROADCAST key/ specify the destinations and then send the fax
just like any normal transmission.
Sending a broadcast
fax
1) Set the document face down in the feeder.

2) Press the BROADCAST key.

3) Now specify the destinations, to a maximum of 20 destinations,
that you wish to broadcast to using group keys, one-touch keys,
or speed dial keys. (You cannot dial numbers using the number
keys or the Telephone Index).
The name of each destination or group appears on the lower
line
of the
screen
as
you enter
it. The
one-touch numbers, speed
dial numbers or group numbers that you have selected appear
on the upper line.

When you have finished entering the destinations press the
START key. The fax is scanned into the machine's memory
automatically
and
then transmitted
to each destination in turn.

- Transmission is not possible if the memory is nearly full.
- It is convenient to register stations to which you frequently send
broadcast faxes as a group . (See Defining and storing a group).
