Recording a MSG CTR Outgoing Message (PGM) ___________________
The next step in getting your Message Center ready is to record an outgoing message (OGM). The
OGM that you record will depend on the mode you choose.
Example of Message Center OGM (TAD ONLY and COMBO mode)
“Hi, I’m not in right now but you can leave a voice message after the long beep or send me a fax
by pressing (insert three-digit remote code) wait for fax tones, then press start.” (See page 7-8 for
remote code.)
1. Press FUNCTION.
2. Press 8.
3. Press 6

4. Press (left arrow) or (right
arrow) repeatedly until you get the
MSG CTR OGM.
5. Press SET.
6. Press RECORD.
7. Pick up the handset.
8. Record a message shorter than 20
seconds.
9. Press STOP and replace the hand­
set.
The recorded message is played auto­
matically.
10. Press STOP to exit.

Helpful Hints Remember to notify your caller of your three-digit remote code, so that you are
able to receive fax messages from those who rail manually hy pressing HOOK
or lifting the handset.
Always remember that your OGM is there to help the caller, so don’t forget to
include useful information.
* You will not be able to turn on the Message Center (both AUTO and F/T lights
lit) until you have recorded an outgoing message (OGM). Be sure you select
MSG CTR OGM (See step 4).
* For the best recording quality, when recording an OGM, a MEMO or a Voice
Alarm Message into the handset, keep the handset approximately 2 or 3 inches
from your mouth (at a slight angle) to record. This will avoid direct feedback
of your breaths being recorded.
