9.3 Pass/Fail
To go to “Pass/Fail” mode from the “Display” menu,
use the
button to move the cursor to the “Pass/Fail” option.
You can either insert only
ΔE* values or individual
components as well.
To make this selection use the
button to “
ΔE*” or “all Δ’s”.
If you perform a measurement in this mode, you will
receive a message indicating whether the reading is
within (Pass) or outside (Fail) the tolerance.
Additionally, a beep indicates when the result is
“Fail.”
If the setting of individual components is selected in
the configuration (e.g.
ΔE*, ΔL*, Δa*, Δb* ), the
expanded input screen appears. You can also enter
a gloss range when gloss measurement is
activated.
To store the input, press the Operate button. To
cancel the operation without storing the input, use
the
button to exit the input field.
To start taking readings, press the Operate button.
The display shows the differences between these
measurements and the selected standard, as well
as a message indicating Pass or Fail.
