Preliminary Setup
1.
Place the unit on level ground and remove the
ignition key.
2.
Remove both spark plug wires from the engine.
3.
Make certain the air pressure in all four tires is
set at 10 PSI.
Lift Adjustment Rods
NOTE: Inspect the lift adjustment rod assemblies
on both sides of the unit and make certain they
are set to the following specifications:
See Figure 1.
1.
The front face of the front hex jam nut should be
3/4" from the front end of the connecting lift rod.
2.
The back face of the rear hex jam nut should be
1/2" from the rear face of the connecting lift rod.
3.
Make certain the inner jam nuts are securing the
lift ferrules in position.
4.
The lift compression spring should have a mea-
surement of 13” from the inside of the front flat
washer to the inside of the rear flat washer (at
the frame bracket).
5.
If any of the measurements are incorrect, adjust
the corresponding hex jam nuts to the correct
specifications using a 15/16” wrench.

Side to Side Adjustment
1.
Place the clevis pin and hairpin in the three inch
setting for the height of cut. See Figure 2.
2.
Lower the deck lift handle to the three inch set-
ting. See Figure 3.
