❏ To release an optical drive or floppy drive
from the chassis of the 8000 series, slide
the drive lock mechanism
1 to unlock the
drive in the drive bay and pull the drive out
of the drive bay

❏ To release a hard disk drive from the
chassis of the 8000 series, slide the drive
lock mechanism
1 to unlock the drive in the
drive bay, remove the metal drive shield 2
by pressing and lifting the two tabs on one
side of the shield, and then pull the drive
out of the drive bay
