Dadoing
instructions for operating the dado head are contained in
bookiet furnished w ith the dado head
The arbor on the saw, is only long enough so that the
w idest cut that can be m ade is 9/16” w ide
It is not necessary to install the outside loose collar
betöre screw ing on the arbor nut M ake sure the arbor
nut is tight
WARNING: For your own safety, always use dado
insert listed under recommended accessories.
W hen
using
the
dado
head,
it
w iil
be
necessary
to
rem ove the blade guard and spreader- Use caution. Use
m iter
gauge,
fence,
featherboards
or
push
sticks
as
required

the blade, table insert, guard and spreader when
you are finished dadoing._______ _____________
Rabbeting
D efinition: C utting out a section of the corner of a piece of
m aterial, across an end or along an edge
To m ake a rabbet requires cuts w hich do not go a!! the
w ay through the m aterial Therefore, the blade guard
m ust be rem oved.
1. R em ove biade guard.

For rabbeting along an edge (long way of w orkpiece)
as show n add facing to rip fence approxim ately as high
as the w orkpiece is w ide Adjust rip fence and blade to
required dim ensions; then m ake first cut w ith board flat
on table as any rip (type) cut; m ake second cut w ith
w orkpiece
on
edge
Follow
all
precautions,
safety
instructions, and operational instructions as for ripping,
or
rip
type
operations,
including
featherboards
and
push stick, etc

For rabbeting across an end, for w orkpiece 10-1/2"
and narrower, m ake the rabbet cut w ith the board flat
on the table U sing the m iter gauge fitted w ith a facing,
follow the sam e procedures and instructions for cross
cutting m aking successive cuts across the w idth of the
w orkpiece to obtain the desired w idth of cut, Do not
use the rip fence for rabbeting across the end-
WARNING: For your own safety, install blade
guard immediately upon completion of rabbeting
operation.

Som e rabbet cuts can also be m ade in one pass of the
w orkpiece over the cutter using a dado head.
