Anti-Virus
Software
A computer virus can
destroy information on
your hard disk. A virus can
enter your computer
through:
➜
a diskette
➜
a CD, DVD, CD-R or
CD-RW disc
➜
➜
infected files
downloaded from the
Internet
Some viruses affect your
computer immediately;
others are set to activate on
a certain date.
Your computer is equipped
with anti-virus software.
Scanning your computer
for viruses is an important
part of keeping your files
safe from becoming
infected with computer
viruses.
However, hundreds of new
viruses are created each
month, so you should
update the anti-virus tool
often.
