Deleted files are sent to the
Recycle Bin, but still take
up space on the computer
hard disk. Emptying the
recycle bin permanently
deletes the files and frees
up disk space.
Emptying the Recycle Bin
1. Double-click the Recycle
Bin
J
icon on the Windows
desktop.

Caution: Files that are
emptied from the Recycle Bin
cannot be retrieved.
2. Click individual files and
press Delete. Or click the
File menu, and then click
Empty Recycle Bin to remove
all files.
3. Click Yes to confirm the deletion.
Deleting Unwanted Mail
1. Right-click the Deleted
Items
L
icon on the Outlook
toolbar.
2. Select Empty “Deleted
Items” Folder.
3. Click Yes.
