Setting the System Date and Time
The BROADway system maintains a real-time clock to assist in ensuring event and alarm times are
properly recorded in the system. This section describes how to set the real-time clock from the GUI and
command line interfaces.
Setting the Date and Time Using the GUI
To set the date and time on the BROADway system:
1. In the menu bar, click Config, then Date &
Time.
2. In the Date & Time window, enter the date
and time.
- To set the BROADway system to the
same date and time as your workstation,
click Set to Today.
- Alternately, enter the date and time you
require using the Year, Month, Day,
Hour, and Minute fields.
3. Click OK.
Setting the Date and Time Using TL1
To view the system date and time, use the RTRV-DAT TL1 command:
RTRV-DAT::NSP:1234::;
To change the system date and time, use the ED-DAT command:
ED-DAT::NSP:1234::YY-MM-DD,HH-MM-SS;
YY-MM-DD
—The two-digit year, month, and day of the system date.
HH-MM-SS
—The time (24-hour clock) of the system.
For example:
ED-DAT::NSP:1234::03-07-01,15-35-00;
This command changes the date to July 1, 2003 and the time to 3:35 PM.
