If you are still having problems, check if the modem is powered. Also
check if the modem cable is well connected. And repeat the process.
9.
If you are still having problems, go to the Diagnostics main menu, and
choose “test modem” command. If the modem responds with an OK
message, try to open a batch again.

If you are unable to do so at this point, then you might have a modem with
the wrong programming. If you have the printer option, then go the “credit
systems” menu, and choose “print trans hist” command. Check the
printout to see the reason of the failure.
11.
If you have any clues from the printout, proceed to open the batch after
solving the problems.
12.
If you are still experiencing problems, modem might be bad.
13.
Now go to PROCESSOR TYPE in credit menu; select 1 for Terminal
mode. You will then be asked to choose between manual or automatic
batch opening and closing options; choose manual.
14.
When it is time for you to close a batch (which must be after some
transactions by your customers), go to setup mode. From the setup
mode, select “credit systems”. Then choose “close batch”. Batch should
close.
15.
After closing a batch, you should open another batch for your next
business cycle.
If you want to do batch opening/closing automatically, do the following.
1.
Go to the setup menu, by turning the setup/operate switch to setup.
2.
Go to “Misc. setup” main menu.
3.
Select the “system time” sub menu and set the time to the current
standard time.
4.
From the setup menu, go to the “Credit systems” main menu.
5.
Select “processor type” and set it to 1. At this point you will be asked to
choose either manual batch opening and closing or automatic batch
opening and closing. You must select Automatic.
6.
Go to the “open batch” command under “Credit systems”.
7.
Batch should open. If so, skip to step 14.
8.
If batch doesn’t open, cycle power to the entry stand, and try to repeat the
batch opening process.
9.
If you are still having problems, check if the modem is powered. Also
