Appendix D. Additional Steps for Canadian WSII Install

This section gives a description of what makes the Canadian WSII different form the
US version. If you cannot find a piece of information that you think is pertinent to the
Canadian WSII, and is not mentioned here, it must have been true for both the US
and Canadian versions and you should be able to find it in other sections of this
manual.

What coin is your site dispensing?

Remember that the coin that is dispensed is the one that is diverted by the coin
acceptor, and ends up in the hopper.

If your answer is $1 coin, do the following.

From the SETUP menu, go to “CASH & TOKENS”, and select “COUNTRY

CODE”.

Set COUNTRY CODE to 2.
From the “cash & tokens” menu, select DISPENSE VALUE and set it to $1.

If your answer is QUARTERS, do the following.

From the SETUP menu, go to “CASH & TOKENS”, and select “COUNTRY

CODE”.

Set COUNTRY CODE to 1.

Do you have tokens for use at your entry stand?

If your answer is YES, note the following.

You can have up to three different types of site-specific tokens. Unitec sends

the coin-acceptor programmed to accept the Canadian $1 coin, $2 coin and
quarters. Programming the unit to take tokens is up to the site, as every site
has its own tokens.

For more tokens, your token values should be an integer-multiple of the

lowest-value token. For example, if your lowest-value token is $1, your
second and third token values should be one of $2, $3, $4, etc. Of course,
you wouldn’t program two tokens to have the same value.

You have the option of limiting the number of tokens a customer can use per

car wash purchase; you can do so from the “cash & tokens” menu in the
setup mode by setting “max tokens/cust” to any number you want.

The WSII does not keep an account of the different types of tokens your site

may have; we just show the total value of all the tokens on the accounting
report.

You don’t want to accept quarters?
