5.03 Cleaning the Welding Power Source
WARNING
There are dangerous voltage and power levels present inside this product. Do not attempt to open or
repair unless you are a qualified electrical tradesperson. Disconnect the Welding Power Source from
the Electricity Supply before disassembling.
To clean the Welding Power Source, open the enclosure and use a vacuum cleaner to remove any accumulated
dirt, metal filings, slag and loose material. Keep the shunt and lead screw surfaces clean as accumulated foreign
material may reduce the welders output welding current.

Disconnect input power before maintaining.
Each Use
Visual check of
regulator and pressure
Visual check of torch
Consumable parts
Weekly
Visually inspect the torch
body and consumables
Visually inspect the
cables and leads.
Replace as needed
3 Months
Clean
exterior
of power supply
6 Months
Replace all
broken parts
Bring the unit to an authorized
Tweco Service Provider
to remove any accumulated dirt
and dust from the interior.
This may need to be done more
frequently under exceptionally
dirty conditions.
Maintain more often if used under severe conditions
