ECM
ECM Setting
You can send or receive the fax more clearly with “error correction”. However, the ECM should also be sup-
ported by the other side’s machine.
1 ECM can be set through [Settings] [Fax Settings] [General Settings] [ECM].
2 Press 【On】 or 【Off】 to select “ECM” settings.
3 Press 【Save】 to save the selected ECM setting.
Line Monitor
You can monitor the communication line. When this option is set, you can hear the line tone from
the speaker.
1 Line Monitor can be set through [Settings] [Fax Settings] [General Settings] [Line Monitor].
2 Press the selected setting to select whether to use [Line Monitor]. (Default: On Till Connect)
3 Press 【OK】 to apply Line Monitor function.
Off No sound from the speaker when the fax is received or sent
On till Connect
→ Default Setting It sounds from the speaker when the fax is being received or sent except the
actual connection part
Always On It sounds from the speaker throughout the whole process of fax transmission
and reception
Volume
You can set the speaker volume.
1 Adjust your volume through [Settings] [Fax Settings] [General Settings] [Volume].
2 Press 【◀】 or 【▶】 to set volume.
3 Press 【Save】 to apply the selected volume level.
