4.4 Checking wiring of the intrinsically safe electrical circuit

Fine-strand lines in ferrules can be inserted up to 1.5 mm 2 . Single-wire lines in ferrules can be inserted up to 2.5 mm 2 . After
insertion, the screws are tightened.

Switch on device and test whether the measured value of your choice (e.g. temperature or pressure) is displayed without
any problems.

Place the cover cap back in its position and make sure it is securely in place.

Caution:
The cover cap that is removed prior to wiring must be put back into place after wiring is complete so that the catch-
es snap back into place!
This is necessary for the proper operation of the probe in the Ex-area!
V All screw terminals in the case must be screwed down with the maximum tightening torque of 0.5 Nm. This does not
apply to needed connections.
