•
Convert the serger from Overlock to Cover Stitch using the directions on
page__ in the Instruction Manual or on the Quick Reference card. Insert the
Left and Right Needles and turn the Stitch Selection Dial to “F”.
•
Following the instructions on page ___ of your Instruction Manual, thread the
serger for a 3-Thread wide (5mm) Cover Stitch. Use Woolly Nylon in the Looper.
•
Fold up a 2” hem along the 6” edge of the fabric. Glue stick or pin in place.
•
Using the markings on the stitch plate as a guide, place the fabric under the
Needles with the fold to the right of the Presser Foot. You are stitching on the
right side of the fabric.
•
Cover Stitch the hem in place stopping with the Needles in the fabric. There
is no need to stretch the fabric while stitching. The Cover Stitch has a
natural stretch.
•
Turn the Handwheel away from you to raise the Needles to their highest position.
•
Lift the Presser Foot and remove the fabric from under the Presser Foot.
•
Trim and mount the sample.
