Drive access light
The drive-access light illuminates when the hard
disk is in use.
On
Power light
The power light illuminates when power is on.
■
Green means the computer is in full-power mode.
■
Orange means the computer is sleeping (in Standby mode).
■
Unlit means the computer is turned off or is in Hibernation mode.
USB ports
The two USB ports connect USB devices.
CD-ROM/DVD-ROM drive
CD-ROM/DVD drive front panel (CD-ROM unit shown)
The CD-ROM drive is shown above. The DVD-ROM drive has similar
controls, but they are in different locations.
The optional CD-ROM/DVD-ROM drive lets you run either 4.72-inch or
3.15-inch compact discs without using an adaptor.

Headset
jack
A stereo headset or earphones can be
connected to the stereo phone jack.
2. CD-ROM/DVD-
ROM lamp
Glows while the disc is being read.
3. Volume
control
dial
Adjusts the audio output level.
4. Back
button
While a CD-ROM is playing, press the back
button to skip back to the beginning of the
track. If it is already at the beginning, it will skip
to the previous track.
