Copying onto envelopes
As an example, the following procedure describes how to make copies onto
7-7/8 inch (200 mm) × 5-7/8 inch (150 mm) envelopes loaded into the manual
bypass tray or the multi bypass tray.

Note
When loading non-standard-sized documents and paper, be sure to first
measure their sizes.
The document scales at the edges of the original glass are useful for
measuring documents and paper.

Position the document to be copied.
– Refer to “Loading the document” on page 3-18.

Adjust the paper guides in the bypass tray, and then load the enve-
lopes into the tray.
– Load the envelopes with the flap facing up so that the surface to be
printed on faces down, as shown in the illustration.
– Before loading envelopes, press them down to make sure that all
air is removed, and make sure that the folds of the flaps are firmly
pressed.
– Load envelopes into the manual bypass tray one at a time.
