Viewing the directories in the Predesktop Area
To export a list of the \preboot, \minint, or root directory contents in either the virtual or type 12 partition,
do the following:
1. The data is written as a text stream of all the files in each sub directory to a file named dirlist.txt in a
directory name supplied by the user, or to the root of drive c:\ if no path is given.
2. This is the equivalent of the following DOS style command ("dir * /s > c:\temp\dirlist.txt") in the
directory of interest. Listing of the contents of the root of the PE partition is "dir * > c:\temp\dirlist.txt"
only. Example:

3. An optional command line input will be a text file to capture the output of this option.

The following list provides the values for x:
• 1 \preboot
• 2 \minint
• 4
Multiple listings would be simple addition of each x. Thus, \preboot and \minint would be a value of 3.
For example, the dirlist.txt file contents are as follows:
\minint\system32\drivers*.sys
\preboot\startup\*.*
Getting files from the directories in the Predesktop Area
To copy individual files from the \preboot, \minint , or root directory in either the virtual or type 12 partition,
