SOLVING OTHER PROBLEMS
The following chart lists some conditions that may occur and the recom-
mended solutions. Follow the suggested solutions until the problem is cor-
rected. If the problem persists, call for service.

Plug in the power cord and then press the power
switch to turn the machine on.

installed or the CRUM
(Consumer Replaceable
Unit Monitor) in the car-
tridge is not properly con-
nected.
Reinstall the toner car-
tridge two or three
times. If the problem
persists, the toner car-
tridge is not being
detected. Call for ser-
vice.
[tray type] cassette
Out
The tray is not properly
inserted.
Close the tray.
Waste toner Full
The waste toner bottle is
full.
Replace the waste toner
bottle.
