Appendix C: Connecting eConnect PDUs
Each eConnect
®
PDU should have a separate network Ethernet connection and IP
address. CPI Power Management Tool software cannot communicate with PDUs that
are daisy chained. Additionally, the software will collect temperature from one
Environmental Probe attached to each PDU via the Environmental Port.
You can assign an IP address to each PDU using the display or via the web interface.
From the display, select PDU Setup and IPv4 Network to assign an IP address. Also, be
sure that the Secondary Role is selected under PDU Settings. (The Primary and
Alternate roles are used with daisy chained PDUs.)
