Complete the Optional Device Information to designate the Size of Device (number of U
it fills) and the Location (the U space on the rack where it is attached)
NOTE
If you do not specify Size of Device and Derated Power, default values (1 for Size
of Device and 400 for Derated Power) are set for the server after you click OK.
Default values for different device types are different.
NOTE
For vertical PDUs, leave the Location information blank to omit the PDU from a
rack-mount space. Location indicates used rack-mount space (U) and is counted
against total rack-mount space capacity. By leaving Location blank for vertical PDUs,
the U capacity will remain accurate. The PDU will not show in the rack elevation, but
will show on the Device list and Hierarchy.
NOTE
Select the Report inlet temperature on device checkbox to collect temperature
measurements from the device/PDU. The device must have temperature reporting
capability enabled and/or may require a separate temperature probe to collect data.
