INSTALLATION
Software Registration/Logon Passwords
Before you power the server on, you will need to register the software with CPI to obtain
server and software logon and password information. You will need the Serial Number of the
server to register the software.
1. Record the serial number of the server: ________________________________
2. Complete the on-line registration form at:
www.chatsworth.com/pmt-registration
3. record the factory assigned logon information:
• Server logon User Name: _______________________________
• Server logon Password: ________________________________
• Power Management Tool logon User Name: __________________________
• Power Management Tool logon Password: ___________________________
Hardware/Server Setup
Power Management Tool is shipped pre-installed and configured on a 1U rack-mount server.
Follow the installation instructions included with the server to physically install the server in
your cabinet. Connect the server to power, network and KVM.
Network Settings
As you face the back of the server, the left network port is preconfigured as follows:
• IPv4 IP address: 192.168.123.122
• Subnet mask: 255.255.255.0
• Default gateway: 192.168.123.1
Change the IP settings as required before attaching the server to your network.
Accessing CPI Power Management Tool
Once the server is attached to your network, t here are two ways to access CPI Power
Management Tool.
1. By clicking the shortcut in the server’s Start menu.
• Click Start --All Programs.
• Find the Intel Data Center Manager folder.
• Click on Data Center Manager Console.
