COMMAND
RMExch policy
SYNTAX
RMExch policy -mdb [-i [-r]
DESCRIPTION
The RMExch policy command will display or update the policy for the specified Mailbox
Datatbase. When -i is supplied, the policy will be updated to the argument followed by -i. If
the optional -r argument is supplied, Recovery Manager will automatically remove the oldest
virtual copy if the maximum number is exceeded. If it is not supplied, Recovery Manager will
not automatically remove the oldest virtual copy when the maximum number is exceeded. The
maximum value allowed for policy setting is 500.
PARAMETERS
The following options are supported:
◆ -mdb - The name of the mailbox database.
◆ -i - Optional. Set the maximum number of virtual copies allowed for
every storage group under the specified server.
◆ -r - Optional. If specified, Recovery Manager will remove the oldest virtual copy once
the maximum number of virtual copies has been created. To unset this option, set the
policy without this option.
NOTE: Use quotes ("") where spaces are included.
