Launch the Symantec NetBackup Administration Console.

Right-click the Policies node in the left pane to open the context menu.

Double click New Policy... and select the Attributes tab.

On the Attributes tab:

Select MS-Windows-NT from the Policy type menu.

Select the storage unit where the virtual copy backups will reside from the Policy
storage unit menu.

Select the Schedules tab and click New….

On the Schedule-Attributes tab:
a
Enter a name for the schedule in the Name box.

Select Full Backup from the Type of backup menu.

Select the Start Window tab.

Activate all the time slots by selecting from the following drop down menus:

Modify Day: Mon
◆
Start Time: 12:00:00AM
◆
End Day: Sun
◆
End Time: 12:00:00AM
◆
Duration (days): 7
NOTE: A storage unit to store the virtual copy backups should already be set up.

NOTE: Select User Backup if you are using the NetBackup client interface from
the machine where the Recovery Manager Agent for Exchange Server component
is installed.
