2.1 System Requirements
Recovery Manager for Microsoft Exchange 2010 requires that the proper components are
installed on the Production and Backup Servers and that the appropriate licenses are available
on the InServ Storage Server. For complete details on system configurations, see Recovery
Manager Layout on page 2.7.
Exchange Server (Production):
■ Microsoft Exchange Server
■ 3PAR InForm CLI
■ 3PAR VSS Provider
■ Recovery Manager Agent component
Backup Server:
■ Microsoft Exchange management tools
■ 3PAR InForm CLI
■ 3PAR VSS Provider
■ Recovery Manager Backup Server component
InServ Storage Server (licenses required):
■ Virtual Copy
■ VSS Provider for Microsoft Windows
■ Recovery Manager for Exchange
■ Remote Copy (Optional)
Snapshot space must be available on 3PAR Virtual Volumes. In order to take snapshots on
3PAR’s base volume, the volume itself must have snapshot space allocated during the base
