If the migrated volume is going to be migrated again, the migration must be executed at the interval calculated using the following
formula:
(Pool Capacity (TB) x 3 (seconds)) + 40 (minutes)
If the operations that change the storage system configuration are executed after the XP Auto LUN operations, re-migration of the
volume must be executed at the interval calculated using this formula after the operations that change the storage system
configuration is completed. However, the migration might not be executed after the time calculated using this formula depending
on the workloads on your storage system.

Consider the following when moving the XP Thin Provisioning virtual volumes using XP Auto LUN:

The XP Thin Provisioning virtual volumes have two emulation types, OPEN-0V and OPEN-V.
You can check the emulation type of the XP Thin Provisioning virtual volumes in the LDEV
window of the Reports Display window of Remote Web Console. For more information about
the LDEV window, see the HP StorageWorks XP24000/XP20000 Remote Web Console User
Guide
.

You cannot move OPEN-0V XP Thin Provisioning virtual volumes to OPEN-V normal volumes.
Conversely, you cannot move OPEN-V normal volumes to OPEN-0V XP Thin Provisioning
virtual volumes. If you need to move volumes in this way, change the emulation type from
OPEN-0V to OPEN-V. For more information about changing an emulation type and the V-VOL
window, see the HP StorageWorks XP24000/XP20000 Thin Provisioning Software User
Guide
.

If the XP Thin Provisioning virtual volume is specified as the XP Auto LUN source volume, target
volume, or reserved volume, you cannot perform XP Auto LUN operations while the XP Thin
Provisioning virtual volume is being increased. In

Table 13 (page 30)

, the XP Thin Provisioning

virtual volume is called TP-VOL.
