Auto Plan Parameters lets you specify parameters that affect the automatic creation and
execution of migration plans.
◦ Auto Migration Function: Specifies whether to automate volume migrations. If you select
Enable, volumes are automatically migrated. If you select Disable, volumes are not
automatically migrated.
◦ Sampling Term: The XP Auto LUN auto migration function analyzes resource usage within
the specified sampling term and then creates auto migration plans based on that analysis.
Use Sampling Term to narrow resource usage statistics to be analyzed. XP Auto LUN
does not analyze resource usage statistics outside of the specified sampling term.
◦ Date:
If this option is None, XP Auto LUN does not analyze resource usage statistics and does
not create auto migration plans.
If this option is Every day, XP Auto LUN creates auto migration plans every day.
If this option is Once every X days, XP Auto LUN creates auto migration plans every X
days. Use the list to specify the number of days (that is, the value of X).
If this option is Once a week, XP Auto LUN creates auto migration plans on the selected
day of the week. Use the list to select a day.
If this option is Once a month, XP Auto LUN creates auto migration plans on the Xth day
of the month. Use the list to specify a day.

Time lets you specify a time frame. XP Auto LUN analyzes resource usage statistics within the
specified period.

Number of Sampling Points:
All sampling points: If this option is selected, XP Auto LUN uses all average usage rates
during the sampling term to determine disk usage. ◦
◦ X highest sampling points: If this option is selected, XP Auto LUN uses the Xth highest
average usage rate during the Sampling Term to determine disk usage. Use the list to
specify the value of X.

Migration Time lets you specify the time when auto migration starts. If the Auto Migration
Function option is Enable, the auto migration operation starts at the specified time.

Auto Migration Condition lets you specify the following auto migration parameters:
Max. migration duration lets you specify the time limit (10–120 minutes) for an auto
migration plan. If the auto migration plan is not complete within this limit, the remaining ◦
migration operations are performed at the next scheduled execution time (if a new plan
is not made).
◦ Max. disk utilization lets you specify the disk usage limit (10–100%) during auto migration.
If the most recent usage for any source or target parity group is over this limit when auto
migration starts, XP Auto LUN cancels the auto migration plan and will retry the plan at
the next execution time (if a new plan is not made before then).
◦ Max. number of vols for migration lets you specify the maximum number of volumes
(1-40) that can be migrated automatically on the specified migration time. If the number
of volumes to be migrated is larger than the specified number of volumes, the remaining
volumes will be migrated automatically on the specified Migration Time of the next day.

The Default button sets each parameter in Auto Plan Parameters to the default value and then
issues the parameter to the storage system.

The Set button applies each parameter in Auto Plan Parameters to the storage system.
