In the Confirm window of the Split Pairs wizard, complete the following and then click Apply:

For Task Name, type a name for the task.
Character and symbol limit: 32
Allowable characters and symbols: All alphanumeric except \ / : , ; * ? “ < > |
Default: date-task name
•
For Go to tasks window for status, select to open the task window.
Default: Cleared
The pair is split and the snapshot data is stored.

Splitting Fast Snap pairs to store snapshot data using the RAID Manager
Contain only FS pairs that are either assigned to consistency groups or pairs that are not assigned
to consistency groups in a group defined by the configuration definition file for the RAID Manager.
To specify more than one consistency group, define the same number of groups using the
configuration definition file for the RAID Manager.

Run the following RAID Manager command:
pairsplit
Workflow for splitting Fast Snap pairs in consistency groups
You can split pairs to store snapshot data for a consistency group. This process explains how to
use RAID Manager’s consistency group pair-split to split the pairs.
Use the following process to split FS pairs to store snapshot data:
1.
(If the pairs are not created) Create two FS pairs and assign both pair to the same consistency
group. To do this, using the RAID Manager, run the following raidcom command twice using
an option to specify the consistency group number:
raidcom add snapshot
