5.
You restore the suspended FS pair (“PSUS” status) (see
“Workflow for restoring suspended
).
The snapshot data is overwritten to the P-VOL. The FS pair status first changes to “RCPY” and
then the volumes are paired (“PAIR” status).
6.
You complete one of the following while the volumes are paired (“PAIR” status):
•
You exceed the pool capacity by reaching the total capacity of snapshot data in the pool.
NOTE:
You can add data to the pool only up to the predetermined pool capacity limit.
Make sure you meet the pool capacity requirements (see
).
•
You restore the pair. A failure occurs and the pair is suspended (“PSUE” status).
•
You reach the maximum pool usage rate (100%).
The FS pair is suspended (“PSUE” status).
The status of FS pairs depends on whether the hosts can read from or write to the FS pair P-VOL
or S-VOLs.
The following table explains the host access and pair status.

CAUTION:
If a host uses a software application to monitor FS pair volumes other than FS, the
S-VOL status determines if the software application ends abnormally. For example, if the S-VOLs
are in a status other than “PSUS” and “PFUS”, the host can reject access.
If a host connects to at least two ports, an abnormality can occur with ports that are not connected
to S-VOLs rejecting access from hosts. To resolve these issues, close the software application that
monitors volumes.
The copy threshold option and host server I/O performance
During the replication process, the host server I/O performance can decrease as the workload on
the XP7 storage system increases. Enable the copy threshold option to help minimize the decline
of host server I/O performance by lowering the workload on the storage system.
