SWCI Messages
This subsection documents all error messages output by SWCI:
When errors occur, SWCI reports the incident to the user and executes the next user
command.
Application Initialization Error Messages
Cause. If the standard input device is a terminal and the standard output device is not
the same device, then to display the command prompt on the terminal, you must open
the standard input device for write access. If the attempt to open the terminal device for
write access fails, this error is displayed.
Effect. SWCI stops.
Recovery. Provide a proper input file. Then, restart SWCI.
Cause. An error occurred during an attempt to obtain file-type information on the
standard input file.
err-num is the Guardian file-system error number that occurred.
Effect. SWCI stops.
Recovery. Refer to the Guardian Procedure Errors and Messages Manual for
recovery from the file-system error. Then, restart SWCI.
