RESET Command
RESET Command
Use the RESET command to perform an SCF RESET DISK command on a set of
objects. The RESET command places objects that are in a HARDDOWN state into a
DOWN state.
VOLUMES
specifies to reset all volumes in the specified segments.
PATHS { -P | -B | -M | -MB | PRIMARY | MIRROR | ALL }
specifies that the command affects only the selected path for each volume in either
the specified segments, or all segments.
SEGMENT { segname | * }
specifies to reset all volumes or paths in the specified segment (
segname
), all
segments (
*
), or in the current segment (if you do not include the SEGMENT
parameter).
Examples
>ND RESET VOLUMES
>ND RESET VOLUMES, SEGMENT *
>ND RESET PATHS -MB, SEGMENT ONE
RESET { VOLUMES|PATHS { -P|-B|-M|-MB|PRIMARY|MIRROR|ALL } }
[ , SEGMENT { segname | * } ]
-P
resets the primary path.
-B
resets the backup path.
-M
resets the mirror path.
-MB
resets the mirror backup path.
PRIMARY
resets both the primary and backup path in a single
operation.
MIRROR
resets both the mirror and mirror backup path in a single
operation.
ALL
resets all four paths in a single operation. Specifying ALL is
not equivalent to specifying VOLUMES.
