ASSUME Command

ASSUME Command

Use the ASSUME command to set a default segment name. Several Nomadic Disk
Manager commands have an optional SEGMENT parameter. If you omit the
SEGMENT parameter in those commands, the default segment, set by the ASSUME
command, is used.

segname

specifies the name of the intended current segment.

segname

is any valid

segment name.

If SEGMENT

segname

is not specified, the current default segment name is

displayed. If no ASSUME command has been entered, the first segment defined in
the CONFIG^FILE is the default segment.
