Starting the Nomadic Disk Manager
For information on installation and configuration, see Section 3, Installing and
Configuring the Nomadic Disk Manager . The Nomadic Disk Manager is accessed by
entering the NOMADIC command.
IN infile
specifies the infile for the Nomadic Disk Manager. If this parameter is not specified,
the Manager has the same infile that TACL process has when it starts the Nomadic
Disk Manager.
OUT outfile
specifies the file to which output is written. If this parameter is omitted, the
Nomadic Disk Manager writes to the output file of its parent TACL process.
command-string
is a string of Nomadic Disk Manager commands. If this parameter is included, the
command string is executed, and the Manager terminates. If this parameter is
omitted, commands are accepted from the input file. If multiple commands are
included in
command-string , the commands must be separated by a semicolon.
Considerations
•
If the TMFCONFIG, TEMPLATE, or SQLNODE statement is found in the
configuration file, you will be prompted to remove these statements and restart the
Nomadic Disk Manager.

The ServerNet Nomadic Disk TACL procedures must reside in a TACL segment file
that is attached to the TACL process whenever the Super ID is used. You must log
on as the Super ID (255,255) to use the Nomadic Disk Manager.

The Nomadic Disk Manager accepts either a single command on a line or multiple
commands on a line. If you issue multiple commands on a single line, use
semicolons to separate the commands. If you enter multiple commands on the
same line, the Nomadic Disk Manager attempts to execute each command in the
line, regardless of the success or failure of any preceding command in the line.
